Stripped Pits is an all-natural solution to your body's natural sweating process.
Why Should You Use Natural Deodorant?
Why Should you even consider using A natural deodorant when there are hundreds of store bought deodorant options available? Why not just keep using A regular, Ordinary deodorant?
Here are just a few reasons why:
- Natural Deodorants have ZERO nasty chemicals. It’s no Surprise that store bought products contain a bunch of chemicals, including Some harmful substances that are downright dangerous for your health! Take a long at the back of your store bought brand. Some of the unpronounceable ingredients are actually toxic and are known hormone disruptors.
- Store Brands Contain parabens. (e.g. isobutylparaben, ethylparaben, methylparaben, and propylparaben) in the ingredients list. Although primarily used as preservatives meant to prevent growth of mold in your deodorant, parabens can be very harmful substances and have been shown to negatively affect the endocrine system and disrupt hormones.
- Store Brands Contain Aluminum. aluminum in deodorant is linked to breast cancer. Although not much research has been put into this, one study shows that in women who applied antiperspirant deodorants and often shaved their pits, the age of breast cancer diagnosis was considerably higher than in women who did not. Aluminum in deodorants blocks sweat ducts to prevent excessive sweating. Although this is useful in store brands, it is not necessary.
- Store brand deodorants contain triclosan. triclosan is a pesticide used as an antibacterial in store bought brands and has been shown to aggravate allergies and cause hormonal imbalances.
Why is this a big deal? Sweating is a natural process of cooling and detoxifying your body. And it’s an important feature of the body’s most unique organ: your skin. people are reluctant to ditch their favorite conventional deodorants. We understand the reasons people hang on to conventional deodorants and antiperspirants: we don’t want to look sweaty, smell stinky, or feel uncomfortably damp in our armpits.
Unfortunately, your deodorant, and particularly your antiperspirant, could be interfering with your body’s natural attempts to remove toxins and could potentially be causing long term health effects like breast cancer or Alzheimer’s disease. Studies show that mothers who have used an antiperspirant containing aluminum salts (a common antiperspirant ingredient) absorb the aluminum transdermally and even pass the aluminum on to their children during pregnancy. More research needs to be done on this and until it has, we believe natural deodorants are a much better option.
